528225_412438512216863_190409145_nOn Saturday 16/11/2013 Convivencia dawah teams will present the beautiful message of Islam to people travelling into Central London via Underground.
A number of Convivencia teams will seek to have friendly, welcoming, and open dawah discussions with non-Muslim commuters outside each major tube station in Central London. This is your opportunity to bring the people of London closer to Islam and consequently establish a good relationship
with them. Dawah training and the plan will be provided on the day. All Muslims are welcome to join us on the day to present Islam with a smile. All participants are requested to join Convivencia teams at 2pm in South Harrow to receive dawah training and materials.

Who is Muhammad (Peace be upon him)?

conviv-dawah-day-for-whatsapp-1024x1024Convivencia welcome you to join them in central London on 24/1/15 to help them remove misconceptions about Islam and promote a good understanding of the faith to the public.

The day will commence at 10am with a 1 hour dawah training workshop. This will help prepare you with effective dawah skills for the day ahead. After the workshop you will be split into teams and everyone will make their way to Central London.

The Dawah Training workshop and meeting point will be at:

South Harrow community Hall Northolt Road, South Harrow HA2 0LS

The Convivencia Trust is currently facilitating the building of a new Muslim education centre in Uganda. On average, the centre will educate a hundred students every month. Each student will learn the basics of Islam, based upon a simple curriculum. Those who wish to stay longer will be put on a four months programme for advanced studies. The students will learn the basics of Islam such as prayers, ablution, charity etc. This is to avoid the risk of ignorance and misconceptions about Islam on the part of new Muslims.

Many new Muslims in Africa are usually left without proper knowledge of Islam and that causes many social problems. Some don’t have the means to seek education, others cannot find good teachers and some end up living with misconceptions for the rest of their lives. Some new Muslims face the prospect of becoming homeless. The centre will provide necessary support for such students. Accommodation, clothing, books, and food will be provided for the study period. Supporting such education centres would promote better understanding of Islam and would consequently promote better social harmony.
